Volunteer At Holy Family

Volunteers are vital to Holy Family’s mission: “To empower all to experience New Life In Christ through sacramental living, transformative worship, lifelong spiritual growth and community in service to others.”  During the current Covid-19 pandemic, while following the CDC and Archdiocese of Chicago procedures, we are offering sacramental events which require many volunteers.  Other volunteer opportunities will be added as needed that continue to follow safety procedures.

Greeters are needed to welcome and check in guests and Ushers are needed to seat and dismiss guests for Masses, Funerals, Weddings, Baptisms, Adoration, and Reconciliation. Other sacramental events, such as 1st Communion, will also take place during the year. You decide what event you volunteer for and at what frequency, whether it’s once a week or once a month.   Anyone 16 years and older is eligible to volunteer.

To sign up we ask that you use the button below.  If you are a first-time Greeter/Usher volunteer, choose a Trainee spot at any Mass and arrive at the designated time for proper training.

Sign the waiver which is available by clicking the button below.  Send it to Scott at [email protected] electronically or bring it with you when you train.

If you have any questions, contact Sue Geegan at [email protected] or 847-907-3443.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Franciscan Outreach Clothing Drive
Holy Family is partnering with the Franciscan Outreach Clothing Drive providing warm clothing and toiletries to homeless individuals (mostly men) in the city of Chicago.  Bring new or gently used clothing items – warm winter coats (larger sizes), socks, hats, gloves and small toiletries – to the red boxes outside the church doors.  Thank you for assisting the Franciscans in their outreach to this vulnerable population this winter. For questions, contact Friar JP at [email protected].
