An education with purpose

At Holy Family Catholic Academy, that investment comes to life every day. As an International Baccalaureate World School, we help students become curious, thoughtful learners who connect what they learn to the world around them. Our Catholic faith gives that learning a deeper purpose: using our gifts in service to others.

Smaller classes, with a teacher and a teaching assistant in every classroom, mean a more personal experience and a strong network of support. Our educators get to know each child's strengths, notice when they need help, and encourage their next step. Students learn to ask meaningful questions, consider different perspectives, and work through challenges. They also learn to ask: Who needs my help? How can I include someone? How can I make a difference?

We're fortunate to have excellent local public schools, and we honor each family's educational choices. At Holy Family, an internationally minded education, personal attention, and Catholic faith come together in a distinctive way.

Why your help matters now

Providing that education takes resources: fair pay for dedicated educators, learning materials, and safe, welcoming classrooms. For some families, tuition is more than they can manage on their own, and the end of Illinois' Invest in Kids scholarship program removed an important source of support for Catholic school families.

Today, 43 Holy Family students receive tuition assistance. Every family contributes toward tuition, and Opening Doors helps meet the remaining need, honoring both their commitment and their children's potential.

Our hope is to build dependable support so that families who choose a Catholic education can see a path forward, even when finances are difficult. Whether you have children here, children elsewhere, or no children of your own, you can help make that possible.

Where we are

This appeal began with people who already give so much to Holy Family. Most of our parish and Academy staff, including our teachers, our ministry staff, and our early donor families, chose to give first. Their generosity, along with Homecoming Afterhours, has brought us to about half of our $150,000 goal.

Now we're inviting at least 250 families to help raise another $75,000 in gifts and commitments by December 1.

Every household's situation is different, and gifts of every size add up to something meaningful for our students.

• One-time gift: $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or another amount
• Monthly gift: $10, $25, $40, or another amount. At $25 a month, your first year contributes $300 toward our goal. Monthly gifts continue until you cancel.

Ways to give by December 1

• Use an Opening Doors envelope in the pews or narthex for a cash or check gift.
• Give online.
• Stock donations and donor-advised fund grants are welcome. Contact Nick for help arranging either.

Gifts to Opening Doors are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
