Upcoming Event: Creating Spaces of Hope and Healing
A Faith & Racial Justice Ministry Event
Thursday, November 12 · 6:30-8:30 PM · Common Ground
The Faith and Racial Justice Alliance is excited to invite you to our next event: Creating Spaces of Hope and Healing. We are pleased to welcome Fr. David Kelly, CPPS, Executive Director of Precious Blood Ministries of Reconciliation (PBMR) to facilitate the evening.
Precious Blood Ministries of Reconciliation serves youth, families and community members who reside in Chicago's Back of the Yards/New City and Englewood neighborhoods and are impacted by violence and the criminal justice system. PBMR also works directly with men and women who are currently incarcerated. Rooted in the spirituality of the Precious Blood, PBMR works to restore human dignity through hospitality, hope and healing.
Through prayer, reflection, and listening to each other in thoughtful engagement, our time together as a community will offer us a chance to learn and grow, creating energy and inspiration for how we can interact in the world.
Space is limited. Register in your Holy Family Realm account or use the Register button below.
Mission
As the Faith and Racial Justice Alliance, we strive to enhance our awareness of racism’s pervasive nature, educating ourselves and others on our own biases and actions, and engaging in activity for the betterment of our communities.
Our intent is to widen our community through open invitations to join us on our journey. We focus on new ideas and information through research, books, videos, and discussion — all to find solutions for justice.
