Join us at Holy Family, Inverness for our annual Lenten Parish Mission as we prepare for Lent and Easter with three  enjoyable evenings  with Fr. Britto Berchmans.

Sunday March 19 “Love Scripts”
We will begin our spiritual journey by recognizing that God not only loves us, but is in love with us. We need to develop the capacity to recognize God’s handwriting as He sends us love notes every day.

Monday March 20 “Prayer: Getting in touch with the God Within”
Heeding  the command of the Lord to pray always, we seek to give expression to the groans and longings of our hearts. Prayer is basically our response to the God who has taken the initiative to love us unconditionally.

Tuesday March 21 “Rejoicing: Happiness and Fulfillment in Life”
No matter what we do, we are seeking happiness.  An yet, happiness seems to be so elusive.  In this talk, Fr. Britto outlines a simple approach to living our lives to the fullest. Drawing insights from positive psychology, spiritual life and common wisdom, he attempts to provide concrete steps to live more fully our everyday lives.

There is no cost to attend the Parish Mission and registration is not necessary. The Holy Family Parish Mission is sponsored by the Adult Faith Ministry.

Fr. Britto was born in India and has since served the Church in various capacities in India, Italy, and the US, and is now a Chicago diocesan priest. He holds multiple Master’s degrees in physics, journalism, and theology, and a Doctorate in mass communications. Fr. Britto is well known as a speaker on relationships, spirituality and personal growth and he conducts parish missions. He is currently the pastor of St. Paul of the Cross Parish in Park Ridge, IL.
