Thank you letter from the Peace Corner

Dear Father Keehan

The Peace Comer Youth Center is deeply grateful to Holy Family Parish Community for its recent
generous $51,567 capital gift. Please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for this unexpected wonderful donation.

Founded in 2002, the Peace Comer Youth Center provides a safe place for youth to engage in activities outside of school, and opportunities to reach their full potential. The Center offers a variety of programs for youth ages 12-18 in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Young people who participate are predominantly African American, and they typically live at or below the poverty level. We offer
services that include Education and Enrichment, Building Life Skills and Increasing Psychological
Well-Being, Recreational Programming, Violence Prevention, and Summer Programming.

Frederick Douglass said: “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” This is the
philosophy underlying the work of the Peace Corner.

Thank you for this remarkable donation. We are deeply grateful.

Sincerely,

Msgr. Michael M. Boland President & CEO
