The month of May is dedicated to Mary. At Holy Family Academy we celebrate Mary with a traditional May Crowning at the all school Mass. Every student processes in and lays a flower at the feet of Mary.
In addition to celebrating Mary we also highlight our 2nd Graders who received their First Communion earlier in the month and our 8th Graders who are graduating at the end of the month. Our 2nd graders come to Mass in the outfits they wore to their First Communion and our 8th graders wear their graduation gowns. The 8th grade graduates line the main isle and stand as an honor guard as the younger students process in. This wonderful school tradition, coupled with our Catholic devotion, reminds us all that to be true leaders and thinkers we must first be grounded in our faith.
