Holy Family Catholic Academy had a second successful launch of a High Altitude Lensing Observation (HALO) balloon. The onboard camera captured the progress through the clouds up into the stratosphere where the sky was black!

The entire flight has been captured with the GoPro camera, and a video has been created on our Youtube channel to share this amazing footage from launch to landing in the snow!
The HFCA STEM class of students in Grades 6-8 is run like a NASA mission. Students are organized into eight teams responsible for payload, balloon, parachute, GPS, GoPro Camera, experimentation, and communications.
