Welcome Suzie Malloy
Please join me in welcoming our new Director of Teen and Family Faith, Suzie Malloy. She joins us with extensive experience in ministry with families and teens. She is very excited to engage parents, grandparents and children together as families in the faith formation process. Most recently Suzie was a member of staffs at parishes in McHenry and Arizona. She has 2 children and is anxiously expecting a new grand baby. She loves her sports teams of all kinds, almost as much as her faith, and I will let her tell you which teams.

On Sunday September 17 we will bless and thank our retiring Director of Teen and Family Faith, Dr. Peg Hanrahan. Peg has faithfully served several parishes and schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago for 49 years and we have been so blessed with her leadership here at Holy Family.
We will celebrate at our monthly FM Mass, this month held at 11:00am. Again, please note this will not be at the usual 9:00am FM on Sunday, September 17. We will have a reception following in the courtyard so you can personally thank Peg and wish her well. I have had the privilege of collaborating with Peg on a number of initiatives even before we both came to Holy Family. Few of my colleagues in ministry have the depth, creativity and intellect that Peg has. These are truly gifts that God has blessed her with and she has shared with countless others.
May the road ahead rise to meet you Peg!
Family and Teen Faith Registration
If you haven’t already, please register your children for the 2023-24 Family and Teen Faith year. You can do so in several ways:

• By going to our website
Pick up a flyer in the narthex or at the front office for details and QR code to assist you.
Our Teen Faith Ignite and Flame formation programs have been revised to even more assist teen involvement amidst their already busy schedules.
Catechists Needed
We continue to need Catechists for the Family and Teen Faith program for grades 1-10. Like any good teacher, you may never know how you might positively affect the life and faith of a young person by being a Catechist. As we so often and consistently say. You do not have to be an expert in faith to do this important ministry! We will provide training, lesson plans and other resources. All you really need is the willingness to share your faith and be a positive influence on the faith formation of a young person.
Please contact Karen McHale in the Family and Teen Faith office, or encourage someone else who would be a good Catechist to do so.
Holy Family Catholic Academy
Our Academy has been back in session for over a week now. We are proud to welcome 506 students, the second highest enrollment number in 20 years. Thank you to Kate O’Brien our Principal, Laura Clark our Assistant Principal, our faculty, staff, students and parents. We look forward to a great year.

Kid Church is Back
Our unique and fun worship experience for families with children ages 2-5 called Kid Church returns this Sunday. The next one is Sunday, Sept. 10 at 9:00am in the chapel. Older siblings are welcome.
