Holy Family Teen Passion Play
An Annual Tradition
The Teen Passion Play is a 20+ year tradition at Holy Family. Each year, teens present a new perspective on the passion and death of Jesus through story, song and dance. It is a widely anticipated highlight of the Easter Triduum liturgy.
The Passion Play is presented on Good Friday and rehearsals usually begin in early January and are held on Sundays. In addition to performing, teens serve in technical roles, running lights, sound, video projection and cameras and set crew. Participation is open to junior and senior high school students; parish membership is not required.
The Passion Play is supported by adults who write and direct the play and help with costumes, props, set design and building, meal preparation, videography, and other technical aspects of the production.
