Health and Wellness . . .

This ministry serves the physical needs of the parish and promotes a healthy mind-body-spirit model of being. It hosts Wellness screening programs, provides the parish with resources and information on wellness issues and assists with Blood Drives,

Blood Drives
This ministry helps schedule and assist in semi-annual Red Cross Blood Drives. Volunteers are needed to publicize this event before the drive, assist with registration on day of the drive, and to call donors to remind them of the drive.

Transportation Ministry
Volunteers offer to drive people to medical and therapy appointments primarily around the four area hospitals. This ministry sometimes experiences several requests and then may be very quiet for a time. Involvement, therefore, can be quite irregular. If you have an interest in bringing someone who cannot drive to a weekend Liturgy that would represent an area where we can grow this ministry.

Companion Ministry
Volunteers visit persons who are homebound. May offer to help with some errands on occasion. This ministry is not particularly active right now; but we occasionally receive requests for volunteers to do respite care and relieve caregivers for a day. If you have an interest in this area, we are in need of leadership to organize and promote the ministry.

Disabilities Awareness
Liaison with Deanery Ministry to Disabled Persons.
Become a resource for the parish to minister to the disable. This is a ministry that needs increased members to initiate and sustain programs that reach people of varied ability and welcomes them to membership ad worship at Holy Family.

Exercise Programs
Schedules, promotes and manages expenses for Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga and other programs that promote physical health.

Holy Family Walkers
Group meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday (after 9:00am Mass)
in the Gym. Members walk at their own pace for comfort and stamina. The goal is to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle with friends in a familiar environment. It has the added side effect of being conducive to friendship and the sharing of ideas among its members.
