Garry Meier special guest speaker after 11am mass on November 9th.

Chicago-based radio personality, Garry Meier, will join us at Holy Family after the 11:00am mass on November 9. Garry’s father Frank served in World War II under General George Patton. Frank rarely talked about his war experiences until one day, in1982, when he sat down with a tape recorder and gave a deeply moving reflection focused on a two day battle period in December 1944. Garry will share his father’s recollections and how his struggles were enriched by his Catholic faith. This is a very special way of remembering a personal narrative of service and appreciating the power of prayer. Join us as we celebrate the service of all war veterans through this extraordinary story of sacrifice and faith.
