SPRED

Small Christian Communities Welcoming All Parishioners with Developmental Disabilities

SPRED is a way to welcome people of all ages with all varieties of developmental disabilities into the faith life of Holy Family Parish.

SPRED provides a method that helps our friends to know God and to grow in faith.

Through SPRED, our friends are prepared to participate fully in the sacramental and worshipping live of Holy Family.

Parishioners (21 years or older) are invited to enter into a personal friendship with a child or adult with developmental disabilities.  They are asked to become part of a Small Christian Community and share life and faith with their friend.

Through the SPRED process, all are nourished spiritually.  Through the relationships within the faith community, all discover a special place of love.

The Commitment…
A willingness to enter into a special friendship with a parishioner who has a developmental disability.

A willingness to attend regular Small Christian Community sessions

A willingness to share faith, sacraments, and life experiences.
