A group of parishioners are meeting to further study the Church’s position on contemporary family issues. The intent of this study is to lead to the creation of an informed position of change on the topic.
A key premise the team is working under is that all of us need to have a common understanding of the Catholic theology on family issues (history, current doctrine, how doctrine is changed, support groups, current actions, etc.) before we can make an informed decision on how we best move forward. Five areas of education have been identified:
